WELCOME
ON THE PELVIX WEBSITE
As an all-round pelvic health therapist, I support individuals dealing with issues related to the pelvic area. This includes peri-natal care, peri-menopausal care, incontinence, sexual health concerns, constipation, and spinal issues to name a few. I also work with people to prepare for operations like prostatectomies and guide afterwards. My practice is an inclusive and welcoming space for people of all genders.
When working in the realm of sexuality, my specialisation in embodied sexual education and coaching, makes me slow down to have time to create sessions that are tailor made. Allowing to connect and learn with our body makes these sessions so powerful.
One of my regular activities is teaching international Pilates classes online. I do this on a voluntary base so we can provide menstrual pads for Girls in Kenya. This is a project that's close to my heart. We give the girls the opportunity to go to school while they have their periods and educate the boys as well.
If you'd like to get a better idea of who I am before working with me, please get in touch.
What is Somatic Sexology?
Somatic sexual education is the meeting point of somatics (developing awareness through the body) and sexology (the study of human sexuality).
It combines learning from groundbreaking research in neuroscience and psychology with embodied practices such as meditation, and breathwork. The emphasis is on movement, breath, touch, and sound, as these represent the language of the body.
Somatic sexual education helps you deepen your ability to feel your body and fosters greater awareness of what is happening within it.
Exploring your own sexuality can be a beautiful way to cultivate bodily awareness.
How do you experience pleasure, and how can you create more space for growth, choice, and play?
How can I apply this in the context of pelvic floor therapy?
It’s the combination of scientifically grounded physiotherapy knowledge (and protocols) with the client-centered approach of somatic education in sexuality, where feeling safe (or learning how to feel safe) is our top priority. Creating consent, learning to set boundaries, and “getting out of your head and into your body” are key elements. Every session is different, as every day is different with different sensations and needs. Together, we listen and learn what is useful to create new tools to rewire the autonomic nervous system towards a place of safety—where connection with yourself and others is healthy and able to grow.
Pelvic Health Therapy and Coaching
Pelvic health therapy is an effective way to help with issues to reduce pain and dysfunctions in the pelvic region and all the parts of our body that are related to the pelvis, like the abdominal-, spinal- and hip-region. We do an extensive intake as all regions are closely linked together. After the intake, together we plan our next steps always with your explicit consent for examinations and treatments. Embodied Sexual Education and Coaching
Embodied or Somatic education and coaching in sexuality, focusses on how we connect with our body, the way we experience our body and how we feel in our body. Often, it is difficult to get out of our head and allow the body to have a place in our existence and to feel what is happening inside.
Recognising our own boundaries and becoming aware of our own pleasure and excitement, are some of the main discoveries. This is different for every individual and for every couple. There is no right or wrong way, just your own path to take towards your health in sexuality. This practice is always client-led, so we respect your pace.

Clinical Pilates and Perinatal Coaching
As a Clinical Pilates Instructor, I use Pilates to help you progress physically during our Pelvic health therapy sessions. Very often, our "core muscles" have been neglected due to pelvic floor muscle issues (for all genders), lower back aches, hip issues and pregnancy for instance.
If you don't need specific pelvic health sessions and you do like to create your own Pilates Ritual that you can do at home on a regular base, please connect:
